On the Beauty of Imperfections

Handmade product(s) you receive may vary slightly from the product picture due to the nature of the product(s) being handmade:

Please understand that handmade items, by nature, have imperfections. There will be inconsistencies based on the creative nature and each item will look a little different from the next.

These handmade items are studio-produced by craftsmen, artisans, designers, or skilled workers with artistry and care. The natural and unique differences are part of the beauty.

Items of the same style and design will be similar but not identical.

Ceramics: Small hair line cracks and blemishes developed in the glaze are natural to the firing process and do not affect the function of the item.

Hand dyed fabric: Even if the fabric is from the same dye lot, the unique patterning of colours will always make each item beautifully different.

Hand blown glass: Pontil marks where the artisan removes the working rod, minor bubbling and naturally occurring variations are all part of the craft.

Timber: Wood characteristics naturally occurring such as variations in colour, grain, mineral streaks, pinholes and knots are not considered defects.
