Manual umbrella with steam-bent whanghee (cane) handle on a 25" 8 Rib Black Steel Tube Frame and Tip Cup.
The length of this umbrella is approximately 91 cm from handle to ferrule and the polyester canopy is approximately 110 cm in diameter when opened.
Whangee is a terrific material for an umbrella handle. A type of bamboo, it is light, wears beautifully, and weather resistant. The natural nodes of the whangee are both ornamental and functional.
Bertie Wooster said, "Then bring me my whangee, my yellowest shoes, and the old green Homburg. I'm going into the park to do pastoral dances." The author, P.G. Wodehouse, did not elaborate what “whangee” meant and assumed that his audience would immediately know what it referred to. And now, so do you.
It comes with its own protective cover. Available in black only.
